Unique 3D printed sculpture from the Blues Portrait Series, hand signed by the artist. a work of contemporary academic realism in portraiture, painted with an acrylic metallic finish over earth tone and color finishes. This portrait was originally sculpted in wax at the subject's homes in Chicago and LaPorte, IN and during live performances at the Chicago Blues Festival by Daniel Edwards. At 97, Pinetop Perkins became the oldest person to ever win a Grammy Award. The wax portrait was scanned by the process of photogrammetry, utilizing traditional methods with current technological trends in sculpture. This work, in different iterations, was previously exhibited at the Delta Cultural Center in Helena, AR, 510 Gallery in Indianapolis, Lyme Academy College of Fine Art, Quinebaug Valley Community College and California State University.
