Unique 3D printed sculpture from the Hip Hop All-Stars Series, hand signed by the artist. A work of contemporary academic realism in portraiture, painted with an acrylic metallic finish over earth tone and color finishes. This portrait was originally sculpted in wax during live performances at the Festival of the Lakes in Hammond, IN and backstage with the subject at the 1015 Folsum Nightclub in San Francisco by Daniel Edwards. A pioneer of Hip Hop, Grandmaster Flash was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The wax portrait was scanned by the process of photogrammetry, utilizing traditional methods with current technological trends in sculpture. This work, in a different iteration, was previously exhibited at California State University and Hiphopallstars.art.
