Mendocino Art Center Window Design Contest From Mendocino Art Center

Help us beautify the walkway to The Nook at the Mendocino Art Center. Create a design (or two companion designs) that will be printed and displayed on two large out-facing windows.

Theme: Local Flora/Fauna; it can be anything within the scope of plants, trees and/or animals found in the Mendocino area, including marine life!

The uploaded design will be enlarged to the size of the windows.  Please note the dimensions/ratio below, to ensure that the piece(s) won't have to be cropped to fit the windows properly.

Specifics:

The submitted design can either be one piece or two companion pieces.

If one design submitted (to fit across both windows):

-Full size will be printed at 91" width x 60" height, approximate ratio of 3:2 (landscape layout).

-Please note, the two large windows are divided by a 4" frame longitudinally, so the piece will have a 4" divide down the center which will block out that amount of the artwork.

If two companion pieces:

The size of each window is 43.5" width x 60" height (portrait layout), with approximate ratio of 2:3. (Exact ratio closer to 2.2:3)

For entry:

1. Fill out submission form with entry fee of $10 (fee may be waived due to financial hardship, please contact us, if so)

2. Upload design, preferably in vector format (svg). If vector format is unavailable, please upload artwork in jpeg or png.
