Earnest E. Gregory Jr. graduated from Union Kempsville High School in 1968. From 1968-1971 he served in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1969-1970. During his time of service, he won several awards including the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
