A doctor with abnormally large ears stops a pharmacist in the Paris street to ask for a cure for his ailment. A bat flies overhead. The caption at the bottom details the conversation between the two caricatures.
Conversation:
The doctor: Yes, I have crowds of patients / You've got to see me running around every morning / From the Estrapade (square / street in Paris) to the streets / And from the streets to Faubourg St Martin (street)
The Apothecary: But would you not after all these walks across Paris be exhausted?
The doctor: What do you think? After all, all these patients are at each ends of crossed directions!
