Artist: Wolf Kahn (German-American, 1927-2020)
German-American painter. Kahn studied under Abstract Expresssionist Hans Hofmann and earned his BA from the University of Chicago. He paints landscapes from across the world - including Kenya, Italy, Greece, and Hawaii. His style synthesizes Realism and Color Field, blending of color, spontaneity, and representation. He has recieved the Fulbright Scholarship, a Paul Simon Guggenham Fellowship, and an art award from the Academy of Art and Letters. His works are now exhibited across North America including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA; and Los Angeles County Museum, Los Angeles, CA.
