Artist: Wendy Ewald (American, b. 1951)
American photographer. Encourages collaboration with women, children, and teachers in her work which often depict community, everyday life, and hopes and dreams. The people she collaborates with often mark the film negatives, challenging ideas behind the maker and creator. Her work has been exhibited widely, including at the International Center of Photography in New York and the Corcoran Gallery of American Art. Awards include a MacArthur Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
