Artist: Wayne Kimball (American, b. 1943)
Kimball is a printmaker who earned his BFA from the College of Southern Utah and his MFA from the University of Arizona, Tuscon. He is a certified Master Printer from the Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and a retired Professor of Visual Arts at Brigham Young University, Provo. He makes lithographs in an underground chamber and works with Bavarian Limestone and plates of grained aluminum. Kimball prefers to use small formats and view art in books and magazines rather than at a museum. He recently has investigated collages. He has been exhibited at over 250 regional, national, and international juried and invitational shows.
