American photographer. Known for his photographs of farms and crafts in Appalachia and natural landscapes and mountain vistas in the Greaty Smoky Mountains. His images have been published widely as well as held in many collections, including the Metropolitan Museum, Mint Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, High Museum of Art, Greenville (SC) County Museum of Art, and Asheville Art Museum.
