Artist: Susan Goethel Campbell (American, b. 1956)
Campbell earned her MFA in printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of art. She works in a wide range of media, incuding woodbloock prints, photography, sculpture, and installation pieces. She utilizes structures of urban planning an natural phenomena to create work that is considers our own contemporary landscape. Her works have been exhibited across Europe including in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, and was selected for the inaugural Kresge Artist Fellowship in 2009. Campbell has taught studio art at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and works in the collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the New York Public Library and many other institutions.
