Artist: Stanley Anderson (British, 1884-1966)
Stanley Anderson (1884–1966) was a British engraver, etcher, and watercolor painter. He apprenticed under a heraldic engraver and studied at the Royal College of Art and Goldsmith's College, though he considered himself mostly self-taught. A member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, Anderson was known for his etchings and engravings of rural crafts. He began working with watercolors after developing neuritis and had a strong aversion to modern art.
