Artist: Robyn Denny (British, b. 1930)
A member of a youth movement to reform the mainstream St Ives School of landscape-based painting. Denny is credited with leading British art into the international mainstream in the 1950s. He is known for creating minimalist geometric paintings that later evolved into monochrome paintings. He was inspired by French Tachime, collage, and American Abstract Expressionism.
