  • Artist: Richard Tuttle (American, b. 1941)

Richard Tuttle is an American artist born in 1941 in New Jersey. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College in Connecticut. Tuttle is noted as Post-Minimalist artist. Although his most prolific artistic output takes a three-dimensional form, he often refers to his works as drawings rather than sculptures. Tuttle utilizes everyday materials like paper, rope, strings, and cloth to subvert the traditions of modern sculptural practices as well as creating site-specific sculptural pieces.
