Artist: Peter Stroud (British, b. 1921)
British abstract painter. Born in Ealing, England. Englisted as a soldier from 1938 until the end of WWII. His time as a POW during WWII was spent studying land maps, which led to an interest into design patterns and complex designs that later influenced his artwork. He was mainly self-taught besides attending part-time at the Central and Hammersmith Schools of art.
