  • Artist: Paul Szep (Canadian, b. 1941)

Born in Ontario, Canada and studied at the Ontario College of Art. Cartooning career began with the Canadian newspaper, the Financial Post. Later became the chief editorial cartoonist for the Boston Globe. Has won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning twice (1974 and 1977). Also won the Thomas Nast Prize (1983), the National Headliner Award (1977), and the National Cartoonists Society’s Editorial Cartoonist of the Year (1978). Has been honored twice with the Distinguished Service Award for Editorial Cartooning by the Society of Professional Journalists.
