Artist: Kenneth Kerslake (American, 1930-2007)
American printmaker. Kerslake earned his MFA from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and was a Professor Emeritus of Art and Art History at the University of Florida. He was the president of Southern Graphics Council (1990-1992). He has been highly Influential in spreading printmaking across the southeastern US. His works have been featured across the US including Library of Congress, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Boston Museum of Fine Art, and Florida State House of Representatives, and internationally, including former Yugoslavia. His awards included the Joseph Pennell Fund Selection Committee Purchase Award, Library of Congress, Washington, DC; Associate American Artists Edition Award, (AAA Gallery, NYC.); Best of Show Award, “Intag One”, California State University, Northridge; Distinguished Faculty Award, University of Florida; and Teacher of the Year for the College of Fine Arts.
