American Impressionist painter. Enneking is associated with the Boston school. He was educated at Mount Saint Mary's College in Cincinatti, OH, and served in the American Civil War after his college career. Enneking later studied art in New York, Boston, Münich and Paris, and sketched in the Netherlands. He is a plein air painter, and enjoyed painting twilight scenes, specifically in New England.
