American printmaker and photographer born in Arkansas. Boyd began his career as an artist in California. He began taking art classes while attending California State University of Long Beach, beginning with photography. At CSULB he also taught printmaking for a year. John’s work held his unique vision of outsider art, often depicting the simple pleasures of life. Boyd taught Printmaking and Drawing at Wichita State University for 36 years.
