Artist: Jean Baier (Swiss, 1932-1999)
Swiss artist. Trained as a mechanic, Baier created works influenced by industrial manufacturing and practical shapes. He used spray guns to paint cellulose pain on sheet metal, aluminum, and synthetic material. His minimalistic style that included angular lines and limited chromaticity influenced the discourse on Concrete Art. His works ranged from prints and paintings to public spaces including walls (Novartis, 1972).
