  • Artist: Homare Ikeda (Japanese-American, b. 1953)

Japanese-American painter. Ikeda graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1985, studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, Maine for a year, and returned to Boulder to receive a MFA in Painting. Ikeda is represented by the William Havu Gallery, located in Denver, Colorado, where the artist currently works and resides. Ikeda’s work exhibits a vibrant exploration of line and form and can be characterized as a mix between abstract expressionism and neo-expressionism.
