Gregory L. Abbott (born 1945) is an American painter from Bakersfield, California. He pursued both painting and interior design, often using walls and ceilings as canvases. Abbott's work is heavily influenced by Surrealism, a fascination that began after attending a Surrealist exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum. He studied at Brigham Young University before transferring to the California College of Arts and Crafts, where he earned both his BA and MFA.
