Artist: George Ball (American, 1929-2010)
American painter and printmaker, born in San Francisco, California. He studied art at Stanford University and later moved to Paris, where his art gained international prestige. He focused on studies of chiaroscuro and contour. His work is included in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, San Francisco; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Kunst Museum in Zurich; Musée d’Art Moderne and Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris; and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
