Future Akins-Tillet is an American printmaker and textile artist known for incorporating sequins and beads into her work. She serves as an Associate Professor of Art at Texas Tech University, where she also coordinates the Master of Art Education program. Her autobiographical work addresses contemporary socio-political issues, particularly focusing on women, aging, and their portrayal in mass media. Akins-Tillet has presented her work at various international venues, including Puebla, Mexico; Edinburg, Scotland; and Ponce, Puerto Rico, and has been published in several journals such as Art Education for Social Justice and The International Journal of Arts and Society.
