Brisith-American musucian, artist, and author. Byrne is best known as the lead musician in the band Talking Heads. Byrne dropped out of both Rhode Island School of Design and Maryland Institute College of Art before forming Talking Heads in 1975. Byrne has received Academy, Grammy, and Golden Globe Awards. As a visual artist, Byrne has exhibited at Pace, NY and VACANT Gallery, Tokyo, Japan. McSweeney's published a collection of his drawings in 2006 in a monograph entitled "Arboretum."
