Artist: Dale Kennington (American, 1935-2017)
Kennington is a painter earned his BA in Art from the University of Alabama, and his post-graduate degree from Auburn University. Her paintings depict happenings based on compiled photographs. Her style exhibits realistic images created using imagination and observation with a subtle surrealism. She is also known for folding screens depicting a whole image created by two halves. Her recent works have moved away from form and towards abstraction. Her work is featured across the United States and internationally, such as the personal collection of King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden.
