Artist: Carl Fleischhauer (American, b. 1940)
American photographer and filmmaker. Graduated from Kenyon College in 1962 and continued his studies at Ohio University, receiving an MFA in photography in 1969. Fleischhauer is nationally celebrated for his dedication to digital preservation and worked at the Library of Congress for forty years. Fleischhauer established the American Memory project, a collection that grants digitized access to the culture and history of the United States to the public.
