Artist: Anthony Hill (British, b. 1930)
British graphic and relief artist. Known for his geometric, abstract works that build on his close association with the British constructivist art movement. Member of the London Mathematical Society through his and his colleague John Ernest’s contributions to graph theory. Works, especially relief, are based on mathematical structure and logic. Earlier styles imitated Dada and Surrealism, but the vast majority of his works express a Constructivionist sensibility.
