Artist: Albert William Christ-Janer (American, 1910-1973)
American painter, printmaker and writer. Albert Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Yale University and Harvard University. He taught at multiple institutions including Stephens College, the Pratt Institute Art School and the University of Georgia. Albert also worked in residency at Tamarind Lithography Workshop in 1972. Within Albert's experimentations in printmaking, he was able to develop a rich vocabulary of tones and textures that deepen and enliven his abstract forms. His work is inspired by the natural world, specifically the infinite nature of the sea, sky and ends of the earth.
