Artist: Alan Saret (American, b. 1944)
American sculptor, draftsman, and installation artist. Known for wire sculptures and drawings of Postminimalism. Vital member of the Soho alternative art scene in late 1960s and 1970s; important figure in systems art, process art, generative art, and post-conceptual art. Studied under Robert Morris, leader of process art, at Hunter College. Participated in Museum of Modern Art international exhibition at the Lalit Kala Academy in New Delhi in 1971—utilized local construction material to build a ramp. Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
