Artist: Adolphe Piot (French, 1831-1910)
French painter. Piot is best known for portraits of young women. His first exhibition was at the Paris Salon in 1850, and he later exhibited at the Exposition de Bourdeaux. He moved to New York City in 1864 and exhibited at the National Academy of Design. He eventually moved back to Paris in 1869. He was a member of the Societé des Artistes Francais and received an honorable mention for works exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in 1889.
