A framed watercolor painting of an open flower with purplish pink petals and a white center. The long petals of the flower spread out across a background of diluted black washes. (written by Andrea Noonoo)
The drawings and paintings of Brooklyn-based artist Eric LoPresti dramatize the symbiotic relationship between beauty and destruction, with a special focus on the aftermath of thermonuclear explosions. He has exhibited in numerous locations throughout New York and across the United States, including solo shows at Elizabeth Houston Gallery, NY, and the National Atomic Testing Museum, Las Vegas. In 2018, LoPresti will be having solo exhibitions at Burning In Water Gallery, NY; and at the New Mexico State University Art Gallery.
