Brooklyn-based photographer and video artist Alexa Hoyer searches for the unstated sense of purpose that haunts marginalized and overlooked locations. She has exhibited in the US, Europe, and at the Inside-Out Museum in Beijing, China. Hoyer’s photographs have been published in Harpers Magazine, Vice.com, Wall Street International, Domus, der Spiegel, Taz, and Der Freitag.
