Molds, while they may not sound particularly nice, produce amazingly beautiful fruiting bodies as part of their reproductive stage. This image is produced as a digital 3D homage to the species Spinellus fusiger, which grows on mushrooms. This image was created using a complex process involving several steps to move from 3D software to digital print, to image transfer, and finally, treatment and layering with acrylic paint.
