Lin Jun is a Chinese artist best known for woodblock printmaking. During WWII he did propaganda work for China, depicting its struggles with Japan in a book, "The Immortal Soldier." But after the war he lovingly turned his talents towards the landscape, and depicting everyday life. His work is in many national collections and he is rated a "Grade 1 national artist."
This is one of Lin Jun's most popular paintings, and he repeated the image at least once (a similar version came up for auction in Cleveland in 2016).
