I am salvaging a burned down cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California using its beams and tin roofing to create classical figurative/ refugee sculpture. The cabin was a victim of the Caldor wildfire that evacuated 20,000 residents from Lake Tahoe, California. The pedestal’s Big Oil graphic brings attention to the politicians and corporations who discredit scientific evidence for their own personal power and greed, resulting in environmental, climate and human disasters.
