This is one of the series of pieces created after a visit to a Buddhist temple. During meditation, we focus our mind inward with the intent to achieve a calm and stable state. The "floating" bowl in the center represents the heightened awareness of the self while the surrounding pieces represent the connection of the self to the external world.
