This original 30" x 24" acrylic painting captures the intense moment lightning is thrust into the world from a moody storm-inspired sylph. The fierce energy casts a glow into her hair as she rolls onward on her bed of clouds. This piece was inspired by a rare late summer thunderstorm in the Pacific Northwest.

Copious amounts of modeling paste was utilized to conjure the intense texture of this fierce beauty. Impressionistic brush strokes and palette knife techniques conjured the various elements within this stormy being. Metallic mediums were applied to simulate the intensity of lightning.
