MessageLiliana is an Italian American talented painter, an extraordinary woman, capable of affirming her autonomy with firmness and stubbornness. Artistic and personal, her life is lived at the speed of her passion.
The retrospective represents the life tormented by wars, by the unequal distribution of the resources it produces, shameful pockets of poverty in a world that claims to be civil. Tormented by the intensification of natural catastrophes due to unstoppable global warming, from the advance of technologies, from artificial intelligence. A body of works that cannot help but expose another great absence, one found in the DNA of the United States. Right to Happiness is an evocation of the Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776.
About the Artist: Born in 1951 in Bonito (AV) in Irpinia Italy
From her adolescence she accompanies her the passion for painting. She trains to recognize beauty in the folds of the reality that surrounds her and in the complexity of life.
She studied at the art school of Avellino.
In the '70s, after completing her studies in drawing and art history, she moved to Florence, where she joined the Tuscan feminist movement working in the cultural department of the City of Florence and the Tuscany Region
Since 1981 she has participated in national and international exhibitions and competitions, obtaining excellent awards.
The language of the exhibited works of art
The language of painting My language is not made up of words or sentences but of painting as an expression of myself. Mine is a journey between Chaos, Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change and Inequalities, moving from abstraction to more daring avant-garde concepts.
For this reason, I ask that you look at my works of art not just by what I am trying to express, but leaving you the space to interpret them yourselves.
My existence has always been intertwined with social problems, being a feminist, my observations of poverty, immigration, homosexuality, climate change and the protection of planet Earth, while always aiming to defend the weakest .
