This little drawing was a labor of love, meticulously and somewhat painfully crafted in my New York studio over a year. What began as a delicate, almost invisible sketch evolved into a tonal study capturing the unassuming beauty of this humble weed. I wanted to create an ethereal and practically imperceptible drawing, but as time passed, I found myself drawn deeper into the subject and wanted to emphasize the spinning of the plant to the flower.
