In Wisconsin there are open fields, plains, rivers and towering rocks. You drive by all of it on the way to Chicago from Minnesota. The stitching in this piece was inspired by a particular, startling rock formation right by the interstate. The first time I ever saw it, I nearly drove off the road. The stitched image was drawn and programmed in the computer and stitched out on a lovely, soft, tan paper. Waternedia was applied from the back, wicking through to the front ONLY in the treads.
