I have been carrying these bits and pieces around with me for several years. The driftwood is from Lake Superior. The embroidery off-cuts are always around in the studio. The walnut "frames" were upcycled from an older project I deaccessioned. The felt came out of the donation container of off-cuts.

Yes, upcycling is all the rage, but I was actually musing on space junk, water flotsam, and the detritus of life, as well as systems and the language of measurement for navigation!
