As I began researching the 19th Amendment, I quickly realized that this subject encompasses far more than just women’s right to vote. It ties into all rights for women as well as voting rights for all people, and set the stage for subsequent legal milestones affording justice and equality to women and people of color. Follow this winding yet very progressive road forward to today and you can see how much progress was made in only 100 years. We’ve come a long way but, sadly, have yet to reach total equality and equity.
