Erika Diamond's 'Overshot Safety Blanket' is part of her "Imminent Peril - Queer Collection" Bulletproof Textile series. In response to the 2016 Pulse night club shooting, Diamond explores the protective qualities of textiles themselves while questioning how much protection we need and who has the privilege of protection. In addition to creating awareness for the safety of LGBTQ+ people, she brings to light the need for everyone to feel safe while expressing their individuality.
