Claudia Casarino was born in Asunción, Paraguay in 1974. She studied at the ISA of the National University of Asunción and attended different courses in the cities of New York and London. She works from the conceptual, reflecting on issues of gender and the conscience of the body - put in tension by borders and forced transits. Her work deals with interpreting the universe of women as a subject of social transformation. She has exhibited since 1998 and has done so in five MERCOSUR Biennials - Havana, Tijuana, Busan, Cuenca, Curitiba, Algeria and Venice, as well as the Triennales of Santiago and Puerto Rico, and in various exhibitions in galleries, museums and cultural centers of Asunción, Santiago, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Amman and London, among others. Her work is included in the collections of the Museo del Barr, Victoria & Albert of London, IDB of Washington DC and House of the Americas of Havana. She is the director of the Migliorisi Foundation.
