Flying Fish by Sam Noten - Samantha V.P. Noten, Image 2.
A flying fish doesn’t belong to just one world. It moves through deep water, but when needed, it rises above the surface and travels through the air. Not to escape, but to navigate. There’s a lesson in that. In life, you move through deeper waters too. Emotions, pressure, uncertainty. Places where things are not always clear. But you don’t have to stay submerged in it all the time. Like the flying fish, you can rise for a moment, gain perspective, distance, clarity, and then return with more awareness. The depth doesn’t disappear. But your relationship to it changes. You learn when to go deep and when to step out. That balance is what keeps you moving. Not stuck in the weight of the water, and not lost above the surface. But using both, to find direction in deeper waters.
