What is Wrong with My Human?
- Drypoint print

The subject of my art is often centered around living with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. For many years I have struggled to communicate my experiences through words, so naturally I turned to art instead. Currently, I am focused on trying to show the daily struggles that come with living with mental illnesses. Mostly I try to convey how the seemingly small tasks like taking medication, brushing your teeth, or getting out of bed can become overwhelming for those with mental illness. The art making process is something that I have always found therapeutic. The act of shaping clay is something that helps connect my mind and body, and the sequential nature of printmaking allows me to stay present. Creating art is what gets me through life.Besides my art, my cats also help me with my mental health. This relationship can be seen in "What is Wrong with My Human?" a story from the perspective of a cat whose owner struggles with depression. I also relate to cats, so sometimes I will represent myself as one, like I did in "Duality of ADHD."
