Sometimes You Just Want to Screen

Continúa mi exploración de los efectos de textura. En esta composición de técnica mixta, mi desafío era lograr un equilibrio visual entre las áreas en forma de pantalla, en realidad arpillera pintada, en plata y las otras áreas pintadas. En su mayor parte, mis pinturas abstractas están llenas de colores vibrantes y formas irregulares. Pero en esta pintura limité deliberadamente la paleta a 4 colores para que la composición fuera quizás más tranquila, y el espectador y los ojos pudieran ver, percibir y sentir una sensación de flujo de baja intensidad a lo largo de la pintura.

Tuve que disciplinarme y no sentir la tentación de agregar más colores. Entonces se podría decir, al menos para mí y para mi estilo abstracto, esta pintura es relativamente pacífica en comparación con mi colección total. Pero hay un flujo e interacción notables entre formas y elementos una vez más, como la mayoría de los otros resúmenes que he creado.

My exploring of textural effects continues. In this mixed media composition my challenge was to strike a visual balance between the screen like areas, actually painted burlap, in silver and the other painted areas. For the most part my abstract paintings are full of vibrant colors and irregular shapes. But in this painting I purposely limited the palette to 4 colors so the composition would be calmer perhaps, and the viewer and the eyes could see, perceive and feel a sense of low intensity flow throughout the painting.

I had to discipline myself and not be so tempted to add more colors. So one could say, at least for me and my style of abstract, this painting is relatively peaceful if compared to my total collection. But there is a noticeable flow and interaction between shapes and elements once again, as most other abstracts I have created.
