I don't always know how a piece will turn out when I start. This one definitely took me on a journey. I love drawing on vellum. It is super smooth and the transparency can add an interesting element. As I worked on the initial drawing, I realized that it would be fun to add the details to different layers. Once the layers were finished, I knew a light would be needed to experience the full effect. Let's just say, it's a good thing I like to solve problems.
