Light is a constant source of fascination and inspiration for me. Dancing light on moving water is endlessly challenging to convey. The ocean's shore is also my place of refuge and reflection. It often feels like my church...holy and sacred. On its shores I stand in awe of the majesty and humbled by its power and ceaselessness. Spiritual light is deeper and more subtle, but it's part of the experience. This painting is one of a series of paintings with that kind of theme. The series is evolving, but Seeking Light at the Shore seems an appropriate title. They are my attempt to convey that feeling and in some way capture the beauty of those moments.
