This triptych was inspired by an unforgettable morning, drifting above the Costa Rican landscape in a hot air balloon. As I pieced together the photos for the composition, I noticed something magical—a heart shape hidden in the scenery, just days before Valentine’s Day. It was a beautiful moment of serendipity that filled me with joy. As I began painting, I realized that this heart resembled an image from a book resting at the foot of my bed, “Earth from Above.” These playful, unexpected connections make creating art meaningful, and they often find their way into my work.
